Chance to Dine 2021

Chance to Dine returned to the home of cricket last night after a year away due to the pandemic. We were thrilled to support the event for the seventh time.

The annual cook off, organised by cricket charity Chance to Shine, was welcomed back to the historic Long Room at Lord’s Cricket Ground. This year’s competitors were England cricketing legends Isa Guha, Graham Gooch and Mike Gatting.

The event raises vital funds for Chance to Shine and has become a firm favourite amongst supporters of the charity as well as the players. The three players started the day up in the kitchens of the Mound stand preparing their dishes for the nearly 200 guests attending later that evening.

This year, Isa kicked proceedings off with a Bengali trio starter of onion bhaji, sea bass macher chop & chaler dhal, inpsired by her Mum (Roma’s Recipes). Graham followed with his main course of Beef Wellington, and Mike rounded things off with a Tiramisu dessert.

As always, we were there from start to finish to interview the players, and capture all the action during the day. We then produced a quick turnaround edit in time for the evening’s ceremony, which was played out to the dinner guests in the Long Room before they cast their votes. At the end of the night it was Isa Guha who claimed the title and was crowned the 2021 champion. All funds raised by this brilliant evening will now help Chance to Shine support more young people through cricket.
