P&O Cruises | Arvia’s Beachside Naming Ceremony Live

Last week, P&O Cruises’ officially named their new ship, Arvia, in a spectacular beachside naming ceremony in Barbados. Presented by Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson, the show included performances from global stars Olly Murs, and Arvia’s godmother, Nicole Scherzinger.

The star-studded event was broadcast live on the brand’s YouTube channel, produced by audience-engagement experts Wilson Dow. We worked in close conjunction with their producers in the months leading up to the event.

During the livestream our fantastic drone crew made sure a variety of shots were constantly available, covering all events from ship to shore, and our inhouse team produced all the VT inserts for the hour long show. This included opening titles welcoming viewers to the ceremony, a journey around the “sunshine ship” exploring her design, entertainment and key features, and a dive into the food and drink on offer around Caribbean with P&O Cruises Food Heroes Shivi Ramoutar and Olly Smith. To put all of this amazing coverage together we drew on our extensive archive of footage for the brand, as well as shooting in the Caribbean on board Arvia earlier in the year, and in Barbados with all talent in the days running up to the ceremony itself.
