The Roux Scholarship 2023 | Meet the finalists

Ahead of the final of this year’s Roux Scholarship we have produced a series of videos introducing each of the six finalists.

The competition will culminate on Monday in a cook-off held at Westminster Kingsway College, London, followed by an exclusive awards dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park where the winner will be announced.

The finalists are: Ben Champkin from The Newt in Somerset, Christopher Clarke from Core by Clare Smyth, Oliver Dovey who is a Junior Sous at Baxterstorey, Sam Lomas who is Head Chef at Glebe House in Devon, Alex Rothnie from three Michelin starred L’Enclume in the Lake District, and April Lily Partridge from two starred The Ledbury.
