Too Good To Waste | Chocolate Banana Cake

The next episode of our Waitrose & Partners Too Good To Waste series is now live. Zero waste chef, environmentalist and author Max La Manna creates the most delicious vegan chocolate banana cake using bananas that might otherwise be thrown away. Filled and topped with chocolate and orange icing, this cake not only saves you time, money and food, it’s also a showstopper for all occasions.

Currently 1.4 million bananas are thrown away every day in the UK alone! And overall 70 per cent of food waste in the UK comes from people’s homes. Waitrose & Partners have committed themselves to cutting 50% of food waste across their supply chain by 2030. Focusing on some of the most wasted food items, the series highlights the importance of just buying the food you need and using it all up, in order to begin making a difference.
